Foldable DesignYesYes

Firstly we took a look at the design of the ATH-M50X. Here’s the deal they have the same awesome build quality the same attention to detail the same super flexible and very portable design ideas for what Audio Technica is known for. And if you’re looking at them from afar you probably really couldn’t even tell the difference between these and the M50 s except for the little M50X badge on the side of these headphones. The top band of the headphone and the headphone cups feel a bit softer and more comfortable while keeping that great noise isolating seal. The top and also feels a little bit more flexible too so not as tight on your head so you can have an even more ridiculously large head.

Talk about the build and design of Philips Fidelio X2 in the comfort this is pretty big it’s a pretty big headphone. It’s not the most attractive thing in the world but it’s alright it does have a decent amount of metal. A lot of people say it’s all-metal it’s not these ear cups right here this actual part is plastic. You can hear it and then this ring around it the grilles and these steel armbands are all metal then just because that part is plastic it doesn’t feel cheap by any means. As far as plastic goes it feels quite good and as far as this headphone goes it does feel quite solid as well you do have a mesh suspension headband right here and there was a lot of room for play. So this will probably fit just about everybody’s head we don’t think anybody’s gonna have a fit issue with this the ear pads are great they’re memory foam the only downside about them. Although it’s comfortable at first is going to be the microfiber cloth that they use this type of cloth over time will pick up a lot of dead skin and hair and just like dust and things like that and it’s going to show signs of wear quite early on and that is something that you’re going have to be aware of.

With the ATH-M50X you will get the cable in two dimensions, one little and the other long, to provide yourself much adaptability. A useful point of these headphones remains that the cords are detachable, so if you’re not using these headphones may remove the cable for your convenience. First off, Audio Technica ATH M50X gets a wide impedance and range. Its impedance remains around 38ohms and its reach elongates everywhere from 15000 to 28000 Hertz. That is great impedance and range produce a significant influence upon the overall audio nature, therefore the output remains remarkably clear and intense.

Moving into the features list of Fidelio X2, it comes with the DAC type of USB port. This one doesn’t have control buttons on them instead of that it uses an inline controller that is attached to the cables. The X2 furthermore utilizes 50mm neodymium drivers including Impedance are 30 Ohm and the X2 is very easily put a good performance in terms of sound quality that will surely produce a great sound quality. As both of these headsets don’t have any ANC features though the noise canceling of the Audio Technica is much better than the Philips headphones.

Here only the ATH-M50x comes in the wireless form and so it comes with a Li-Polymer battery. And this battery will be returned you a huge 40 hours of battery life which is excellent from the gamer’s perspective. But the downside of that is it requires a total of 7 hours to charge it completely. Whereas the Fidelio X2 comes with a simple plug-and-play scenario so have to just plug your headphone with the device and you can straightly enjoy your games or music.

ATH-M50xPhilips Fidelio X2
BluetoothBluetooth 5.0
Bluetooth RangeApprox. 10 meter

Talking about the connectivity the ATH-M50X comes with Bluetooth version 5.0 and because of that, it gets a very solid, strong, and stable Bluetooth connectivity range of approximately 10 meters. On the other hand, the Philips Fidelio X2 comes with a wired connectivity feature so the connectivity range totally depends on the length of the connectivity cable.

Which is better!

Both of these headphones come with a different connectivity option so it purely depends on the user which one is his preference. But besides that in terms of build quality, sound quality and features the Audio Technica much better than the Philips Fidelio X2. Also, the Audio Technica is much cheaper than the Philips headphones. So it is more suitable to go for the Audio Technica ATH-M50x to get an overall better package.
