How To Backup Facebook Messenger Chat

Facebook’s Messenger can send not only text messages but also files, photos or videos. It has become much major communication software, but the more you rely on it, the more you need to have a backup concept, although in most cases, the conversation records are not for no reason. Step 2. On the “Settings and Privacy” page, find “Download Information”.

Step 3. Then check the content you want to back up. Since the destination here is Messenger, check “Messages”.

Step 4. Swipe to the end of the screen in the previous step and press “Create Copy”. 

Step 5. Click “Downloadable copy”, the period and progress of downloading Messenger will appear below.

Step 6. After a period of time, Facebook will push a downloadable notification, and there will also be a notification letter in Facebook’s registered mailbox.

Step 7. Go back to the screen in Step 5 and click “Download” under “Downloadable Copies”.

Step 8. The downloaded file is a compressed file, click “Download”.

Step 9. When decompressing the downloaded file, folders will be saved according to different conversation objects.

Step 10. If there are pictures or audio files in the conversation, they will be saved separately.

Step 11. Open the “message.html” file, that is, all text messages, and the time will be marked at the same time.

Step 12. Open the “audio” folder, it is all audio files, click to play.
