Method 2: System “Settings”

The Google Assistant voice assistant on Android devices can be uninstalled in the standard way with installed applications. To do this, proceed as follows:

  1. Go to the ” Settings ” section through the main menu or the top curtain, go to the Settings section. Select a subsection with applications.
  2. Find Assistant and tap on its name in the list of installed software. At the top or bottom of the window, find and click on the Delete button.
  3. Confirm the action in the pop-up window.

You can also temporarily stop its operation through the application settings window by clicking on the corresponding button. Still, it will be launched the next time you turn on your smartphone. Using the Memory section , it is possible to delete temporary files that take up storage space, while the Assistant itself will remain in place.

Method 3: Third-Party Applications

More experienced users can use third-party solutions to remove the Assistant since not all shells allow you to erase it once and for all. Sometimes, through the system Settings, you can only restore the application’s version to its original state. As a rule, such applications are removed only on devices with root.

Method 4: Disabling the Assistant

Google Assistant may work on some smartphones but not show up as a standalone in the app drawer. In such a situation, you can turn it off through the Google app or possibly the Android Settings (this option varies by the shell). We talked about deactivating the Assistant without deleting it in a separate article at the link below.
