This is the Galaxy Tab S7 Plus and it’s an interesting device because people don’t generally like android tablets that much. The app support just isn’t there but Samsung’s done a really great job at mitigating that issue with the Tab S7 Plus through its DEX software interface and the hardware. But does it really compare to the latest and greatest tablet from Huawei Matepad Pro?

So let’s start with the positives and there’s a lot good to say about the hardware. The Tab S7 Plus is a pretty big tablet but it still somehow feels impossibly thin at just 5.7 millimetres. It’s also pretty lightweight for its size at just under 1.3 pounds which is a bit less than the comparably large 12.9 inch iPad Pro.
From the coloring to the symmetrical four speaker grilles and the tiny bezels at just 4.9 millimetres. MatePad Pro looks and feels incredibly premium, in fact, the only thing that keen on design-wise is the slight discolouration around the front-facing camera on that display. Which is indicative of pretty much all LCD displays that have a punch hole cut out.
Performance
MatePad Pro | Tab S7 Plus | |
Processor | Octa core (2.86 GHz) | Octa-core (1×3.09 GHz ) |
GPU | Mali-G76 MP16 | Adreno 650 |
RAM | 6 GB | 8 GB |
Internal storage | 128 GB | 256 GB |
Storage expansion | Up To 256 GB | Up To 1 TB |
OS | Android 10 | Android 10, One UI 2.5 |
The Tab S7 Plus starts at $850 with that you get a Snapdragon 865 plus processor, 128 gigabytes of expandable storage, and 6 gigabytes of RAM. For a bit of extra cash, you can upgrade that to 8 gigabytes of RAM and either 256 or 512 gigabytes of storage and you can even add 5G for the first time on a Samsung tablet which is great.
Speaking of gaming using the Matepad Pro has been excellent the Kirin 990 is the same as we’ve seen on the Mate 30 Pro and the P40 Pro as well. It’s the latest and greatest from Huawei and it’s right up there as one of the most powerful chips available right now. You’ve also got up to 8 gigabytes of ram and 512 gigabytes of storage so using this tablet this week for all of the gaming needs has really been superb.
Camera
MatePad Pro | Tab S7 Plus | |
Rear | 13 MP | 13 MP + 5 MP |
Front | 8 MP | 8 MP |
Video recording | (HDR) | 4K@30fps 1080p@30fps |
One thing that just simply you wouldn’t do on a tablet is to use it as a camera. The camera of both tabs is decent and almost same in some conditions. But any smartphone camera gonna perform better than tablet ones.
Multimedia
MatePad Pro | Tab S7 Plus | |
Headphone jack | USB Type-C | No |
Loudspeaker | Yes, with stereo speakers | Yes |
FM Radio | No | No |
You get quad speakers on both devices and perform perfectly. But the Huawei was more full of music and bass then Samsung’s S7 Plus
Battery Life

Type | Non-removable Li-Po | Non-removable Li-Po |
Quick Charging | Fast charging 40W Fast wireless charging 15W | Fast charging 45W |
User Replaceable | No | No |
S7 Plus Performers good at battery test hence it has a bigger battery but the supplied charger is 18 Watt which is a hassle at a tab that costs 800+ Dollars.

What We Think
Huawei MatePad Pro
For performance and premium design, we have to say, yes it works flawlessly it feels incredible in the hand and it really is a fantastic device. There is no play store on Matepad Pro but you can add it. If you’re happy doing those things then we can highly recommend this product. But still, S7 plus is a better performance overall if you want to buy a Good Tablet.
Galaxy Tab S7 Plus
The Tab S7 Plus is a really great tablet and it’s by far the best android tablet on the market but we are not sure that the market is still around. People also don’t spend 1100 dollars on a device that they’re probably just going to watch Netflix and play games on. If you do maybe you should buy a laptop instead because 1100 bucks will buy you a really good laptop from basically any brand you like.
