Design

HP ProBook 635 Aero G7 Speaker

The G7 is a visually beautiful device that tries to stand out from the crowd with small accents. HP has opted for a more angular design, especially where the hinge is located. The screen is framed by a black frame on the inside, which serves its purpose, but doesn’t look particularly elegant. The two speakers for the stereo sound are located next to the keyboard. The trackpad is also nice and big; only HP could not hide the fingerprint scanner as nicely as some other manufacturers do. In this price range, that’s probably a bit too much to ask.

By and large, HP delivers a laptop with the Aero 635 G7 that is superbly processed and has a decent design. HP has already delivered much nicer devices here. If HP had used aluminum for the G7, the device would certainly have made a lot more than plastic, but the price and weight would have been higher.

When it comes to speed, the Aero G7 leaves nothing to be desired in normal life. Surfing, even if you have a few dozen tabs open, is smooth and problem-free. The Aero G7 also made a good impression when editing video with Premiere Pro. Sure, you notice the compromise between performance and mobility at certain points, but this HP notebook is easily enough to cut videos in HD.

Unlocking with the face should be a bit more jagged. Here the Aero G7 struggles noticeably from time to time and takes one or two seconds longer than it should. Here, above all, light also plays a major role.

Display

HP ProBook 635 Aero G7 Screen

The Aero comes with an anti-glare display, as it should be for a laptop on the go. So I could still write outside even when it was really sunny. The display has a Full HD resolution, which is good for battery life and is completely sufficient for everyday blogging and business. Unfortunately, the brightness of 400 nits does not particularly stand out, and the color spectrum of 72% NTSC is also something that graphic designers should not impress. But if you have to deliver graphic work on a professional level, you won’t buy an Aero G7 anyway.

Battery Life

As usual with Windows laptops, you can choose between different modes in battery mode. More power means less battery life and vice versa. The Aero G7 easily lasts a whole day with normal use, even on normal battery power. So one can go out of the house with the notebook in the morning without worrying that the device would run out of battery by noon or afternoon.

Conclusion!

With the ProBook 635 Aero G7 4500, HP has delivered a business laptop that you can’t really go wrong with. With its compact size and weight of just under one kilo, it is an ideal companion for on the go. Anyone who simply needs the laptop to write, surf, maybe stream music with it and occasionally edit a picture will easily survive a working day on one charge. There are also plenty of connections, but you will miss an SD card slot if you like to travel with a system camera. Technically, the laptop offers enough power to cut HD videos, even if the device is certainly not for users who expect the best of the best.

The bottom line is the Aero 7 is a good notebook that does its job reliably as an all-purpose device. For a current price of around $979.00, you can’t really complain too much.
