Detailed ReviewRazer Blade 17MSI GE76 Raider

Design & Features

The Razer Blade 17″ (2021 model) is a 17.3-inch gaming notebook PC that uses the 11th generation Intel Core i7-11800H processor as the CPU. It is said that the graphics are about 25% smaller than the previous model while being equipped with the GeForce RTX 30 series.

Razer has Blade 17Built around as one of the best gaming laptops. Again, this is done with a slim design. With a thin frame (new anti-fingerprint resistant film coating), the Razer Blade 17 weighs only 6 pounds.

The lineup includes 3 models with full HD resolution, 2 models with QHD resolution, and 1 model with 4K resolution and touch support, for a total of 6 models. Standard specifications include 11th generation Intel Core i7-11800H processor, Windows 10 Home 64-bit OS, and 1TB SSD storage (M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0×4). The memory is equipped with 16GB DDR4-3200MHz or 32GB DDR4-3200MHz.

The model equipped with a 3840 x 2,160 pixels 4K display (120Hz) is the “Razer Blade 17-4K 120Hz RTX 3080 Model“. Graphics adopts NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080.

The Blade 17 HD 1080p webcam supports Windows Hello and comes with four dedicated microphones to improve the quality of your video calls. The upgraded touchpad reduces cursor movement errors. You can also pair a second GPU (using a Razer Core X eGPU enclosure) for supported creative apps with a Thunderbolt 4 USB-C connection.

The common interface is equipped with HDMI 2.1 output, Thunderbolt 4 x 2, USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port x 3, SD card slot (UHS-II), 3.5mm earphone jack (4 poles), etc.

Communication is compatible with Wi-Fi 6E (IEEE802.11a / b / g / n / ac / ax), 2.5Gb Ethernet wired LAN, and Bluetooth 5.2. The backlight also supports light emission by Razer Chroma.

Most of the new features in Blade 17 are game-centric. This includes an additional M.2 slot and the ability to add 1TB SSD and up to 32GB of memory. There are also other advantages aimed at addressing telecommuting and security.

The MSI GE76 Raider 11U RTX 3080 / 4K 120Hz LCD-equipped model is equipped with an LCD with a wide color gamut. In the measurement of this site, the Adobe RGB coverage rate was 99.1%. It is also suitable for using software for Adobe creators and is also recommended for creators’ work.

The MSI GE76 Raider 11U has ultra-high-end gaming performance and focuses on design and lighting.

The design of the top plate with cut corners and the hinge part gives you a sense of fearlessness and functional beauty like a stealth aircraft. Also, the LED lighting bar that covers the entire front part has a pleasant atmosphere.

In addition, the model equipped with FHD liquid crystal is equipped with a 360Hz drive liquid crystal. This is suitable for seriously playing e-sports titles, taking advantage of the highest refresh rate for a notebook PC.

Equipped with GeForce RTX 3080 with maximum graphics power of 165W, if you set it to “discrete graphics mode,” that outputs directly from external graphics without going through the graphics built in the CPU.

There are two types of LCDs, but 360Hz LCDs are ideal for gamers, and 4K LCDs are ideal for creators with approximately 100% Adobe RGB.

The MSI GE76 Raider 11U has ultra-high-end performance and requires exceptionally high cooling performance. As expected, since the notebook PC is equipped with extremely high performance, the CPU and GPU temperature will be high during heavy loads such as games. The MSI GE76 Raider 11U uses MSI’s Cooler Boost 5 powerful cooling system, which uses multiple heat pipes and two cooling fans to dissipate heat from four directions for cooling.

The webcam is a 2.07 million pixel full HD camera. You can take fine images and images than HD cameras. In addition, face recognition is not supported.

It is equipped with a 1TB NVMe SSD. Since it is a PCIe Gen4 SSD, the speed is also fast.

There are two USB Type-C ports. The USB-C port on the back is compatible with Thunderbolt 4, Display Port. It doesn’t support Power Delivery. The USB-C port on the side does not support Thunderbolt, Display Port, or Power Delivery.

You can manage the performance model from the “User Scenario” item of the “Dragon Center” software pre-installed on MSI notebook PCs.

Razer didn’t just offer faster processors and better graphics cards. The company also increased the GPU graphics power of the Blade 17 to 130 watts. Along with that, an improved steam chamber has emerged that helps reduce the heat associated with extra wattage. Razer incorporates THX Spatial Audio with a quad-speaker array for greater immersiveness beyond power and an upgradeable 17.3-inch display from 1080p with a refresh rate of 360Hz to a 4K touchscreen with a refresh rate of 120Hz.

MSI GE76 Raider- Those looking to replace their most serious laptop gamer desktops with something a little more portable should put the MSI GE76 Raider on the list of candidates. The combination of a fast, bright display and some of the most powerful mobile components provides an excellent esports setup or big screen option for AAA games.
